We had a fun day of reliving history at the Wrightstown Renaissance Festival. It was great to see all the costumes and the participants reenacting jousts, sword fights, belly dancing and enjoy the lively mood of the grounds. My girls loved seeing the dancing especially, and found the theatrical shows fun like The Living Chess and the Public Punishment where shoe thieves had to endure itching powder and tickle punishment to their feet while locked in the stalks. We loved the Queen's dress and the knights walking around as well. Ava wore her Renaissance dress, but McKaylah opted for her regular 21st century garb. I'd like to dress up next time, perhaps a bar wench?
