Okay, not really frightening, more fun. We had a swell Halloween party tonight. I decorated the house and made a themed dinner. We trick-or-treated and hung out afterward, listening to music and laughing. I love all my friends, what awesome people. Of course Sarah and fam and Ana and fam came by, but we were so happy to see Krystal, Danny and baby Adele. We had a TON of trick-or-treaters, too. Our street looked like the movie ET with the streets filled with kids of all ages in costumes. I went as a Renaissance wench, Dave was a pimp, McKaylah a pirate and Ava a woodland fairy. Our friends Matty dressed up as a half-naked biker chick (hilarious!!), Sarah joined me in Renaissance wench attire.

Our themed dinner; mummie dogs, harvest salad, witch's fingers breadsticks, pumpkin bread, cinnamon strudel bread, and an assortment of other goodies.
classic! Dave was a pimp and our Matty, the belle of the ball.

their candy bags weighed almost as much as they did!
Then Saturday night we had a small Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos party. We made a yummy Mexican dinner and made paper skeletons. We decorated a table yellow mums, ceramic skeleton ladies I got in Mexico a few years ago, sugar skulls and with pictures of loved ones who had passed. We told stories about them and remembered what it was we loved about them. Things like this make me excited for the the Mexican culture we will soon be a part of.
