I don't know about you, but as a teen in the 80's, I super loved Corey Haim. Lost Boys is still a favorite and Lucas, I loved that movie, too. I was pretty sad to hear he passed away a few weeks ago after years of battling drug addiction and illnesses. I thought I'd share this picture from the wall at my mom's house...It seems like eons ago, I won the Tigerbeat Date Dream, yep, one lucky person got to go to their high school prom or dance with Corey Haim...it was magical.. With my big hair, big eyebrows and big, pink dress, it was like, totally radical! Spandau Ballet, Soft Cell and Cyndi Lauper playing all night, yep, I can't kiss and tell, but I can tell you, we did "Rock the Casbah..."
Seriously, I dated a guy who my dad didn't really fancy, so the 2 dances I went with him I wasn't allowed to put up our dance portraits. I grabbed my handy Tigerbeat magazine and found the head that would fit over his...this is obviously pre-photoshop...While I did adore Corey, he was also the only one whose head fit properly. Little gluestick action and wha-lah!! I got to hang up my dance portraits...a tutorial shall follow if there's a need for it from my loyal readers....
(oh, and FYI, I went to a dance with Kevin Costner, too...)
