Living here in Mexico I've had a few of the locals ask if I celebrate my "dia de gracias." I reply, "claro!" My friend across the street is also American and is having a Thanksgiving potluck; she is making a couple turkeys, pear and spinach salad, sweet potatoes, etc. All her guests in return bring a side dish or dessert. There will be us the 2 American families, and families from Switzerland, Argentina, India, Korea and of course a couple Mexican families. I like they will get a taste of our American feast, probably quite different than what they may have on the days they celebrate bounties in their countries...but the message is still the same, thankful for the good things and good people we all have in our lives.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you around the world! Anything in particular you are thankful for?
