I made another terrarium, this one with a long-legged air plant, white sand, a sea fan and small and medium sized shells. I have been creating others and think these will make such fun gifts to teachers and friends.
The air plant doesn't have roots in soil, they get all their water and nutrients from the air. Since we live in humid Florida, I would imagine this plant would do very well outside, but inside, especially with the A/C pumping, I have to soak it in water once a week.
